When we first starting getting cable (back in the 1970&#039;s), one of the big sellers for paying was, &quot;No commercials.&quot; (Of course, that was before the 21st Century.)  How is it that we are among those with one foot in the 20th and the other in the 21st?  Of course, although the rest of the world may accept our way of counting, a lot cultures have two sets of books for the years.  According to their ways of counting, some have time going way back before that.
